Changelog

What’s new in PowerWP.

Every release of the PowerWP AI plugin, newest first. Updates arrive in WordPress under Dashboard › Updates, signed by us, on every active plan, Free included. The latest version is 1.6.8.

  1. 1.6.8Latest

    A steadier safety check

    • FixThe safety check after a change now checks the site twice before undoing it, so one failed request on the server no longer undoes a good change.
    • ChangedLicense screen: “Upgrade or renew” opens My account › Licenses on powerwp.ai, where renewing or upgrading keeps your key.
  2. 1.6.7

    Safer sign-in for AI apps

    • SecuritySecurity hardening for apps that connect by signing in.
  3. 1.6.6

    Clearer permissions

    • ChangedClearer permission descriptions when you create a connection.
  4. 1.6.5

    Rescue mode for signed-in apps

    • NewRescue mode now also works for apps connected by signing in, such as Claude and ChatGPT: when a plugin or the theme crashes the site, they still get in to find and fix the cause.
  5. 1.6.4

    New releases show at once

    • FixNew releases now appear in Dashboard › Updates as soon as they are published. Sites on 1.6.3 or older may take a few hours to show this update.
  6. 1.6.3

    Your plan on every request

    • ChangedYour plan now applies to every request from an AI app, not only when it connects. Without an active paid plan, AI connections can read the site but not change it. A plan stays active for 3 days after its end date, so a renewal paid a little late changes nothing. Renewing or upgrading restores the permissions; nothing is deleted.
    • ChangedA site with more AI connections than its plan includes lets the oldest ones make changes; the newer ones can only read. The Connections screen marks them “Can only read”.
    • ChangedLocal development sites (localhost, .test, .local and the like) need a license key like any other site.
    • SecurityHardened license validation.
    • SecurityAdditional protection for the plugin’s own settings.
    • SecurityIntegrity checks for the plugin’s own code.
  7. 1.6.2

    ChatGPT sign-in fix

    • FixChatGPT: signing in no longer stops with “Unknown app”. The site now accepts how ChatGPT identifies itself.
  8. 1.6.1

    Small improvements

    • ChangedRecipes: your own recipes and the New recipe button are at the top of the Recipes screen.
    • ChangedChatGPT: the setup steps follow ChatGPT’s Plugins page.
    • ChangedSettings › Uninstall says that deleting the plugin also removes the site memory and recipes.
  9. 1.6.0

Sign-in, site memory, recipes and Elementor

    • NewSign-in for AI apps: Claude (claude.ai, the Claude desktop app and the phone apps) and ChatGPT (on the web and in its apps) connect with just your site’s address. You sign in to WordPress, choose what the app may do and click Allow; there’s no key to copy. It follows the same permissions, plan limits and change log as any connection. How sign-in works
    • NewSite memory: your rules (“ask before changing prices”), facts about your business and notes your AI apps learned reach every AI app you connect, on any computer or phone. By default AI apps only propose what to remember, and nothing takes effect until you approve it; Settings › Memory & recipes can let trusted connections save directly. Passwords, keys and card numbers are refused. Site memory
    • NewRecipes: 43 ready-made, step-by-step procedures in five packs (every site, digital goods stores, physical goods stores, news sites and blogs, Elementor sites), shown as commands in your AI app. The packs that fit your site switch on by themselves; adapt any recipe or save your own. Every recipe
    • NewElementor pages: your AI app sees a page like Elementor’s Navigator and changes texts, links, images and settings by widget, with a dry run first and a rollback. On Elementor 4, Elementor’s own AI abilities run through PowerWP AI’s safety layer. Edit Elementor pages
    • NewSeven new tools, 85 in all: site memory, recipes, and the Elementor page outline and editor.
    • FixWooCommerce order requests return only the fields that were asked for.
    • FixScheduling a draft that never had a date now schedules it instead of publishing it at once.
    • FixRolling back an edit of a published post no longer fails because WordPress tidied its own bookkeeping after the save.
    • FixA variable product created with its variations now rolls back to its checkpoint in one step.
    • ChangedOrder checks leave out names, addresses and IP addresses and mask e-mails unless the full address is asked for.
    • ChangedPage checks can report what search engines and screen readers read: meta description, canonical, headings, images without alt text, links and structured data.
    • ChangedDatabase query results hide license keys and similar secrets from connections without the Secrets permission.
  10. 1.5.0

    Roll back WooCommerce bulk edits

    • NewA WooCommerce batch request of up to 100 items (products, variations, coupons, orders, customers, categories, tags and more) is recorded item by item and rolls back in one step: changed and deleted items come back, created ones are removed. The Changes screen shows the batch.
    • FixOrders of one batch that contain the same product: the product’s stock is restored correctly on rollback.
    • FixRolling back an order no longer removes the stock and sales count of the products in it.
    • FixChanges to WooCommerce e-mail settings are recorded and can be rolled back.
    • ChangedThe License screen says that AI connections need an active plan and where to find your key.
  11. 1.4.1

    A security fix

    • SecurityFixed an issue that could expose protected data to connections without the Secrets permission. Updating is recommended.
    • ChangedColumns with the same name in a query result each keep their values.
    • ChangedThe installation steps name Plugins › Add Plugin, as in current WordPress.
  12. 1.4.0

    The Free plan

    • NewThe Free plan: on a Free plan, every AI connection of the site can read diagnostics, logs, content, orders and settings, but can’t change anything. The License and Connections screens show it, with an Upgrade link; an upgrade needs no new activation.
    • ChangedThe Free plan shows “No end date” on the License screen.
    • ChangedAn AI connection gets more permissions only while the site has a paid license.
    • ChangedRunning an action that another plugin provides is recorded in the change log, and your AI app is told that it can’t be rolled back.
  13. 1.3.2

    Clearer privacy notes

    • ChangedThe plugin lists every detail its update check sends, in its readme and in Settings › Updates & privacy. Nothing new is sent.
    • ChangedThe privacy policy link points to the new privacy page on powerwp.ai.
  14. 1.3.1

    Two fixes

    • FixThe health check no longer mistakes a page that only quotes a PHP error, such as a support article, for a broken page.
    • FixIn rescue mode, pages built with a page builder such as Elementor can be updated again.
  15. 1.3.0

    The License screen

    • NewPowerWP AI › License: paste your key and choose Activate. The screen shows your plan, the AI connections in use and allowed, and the end of updates and support, with Check now and Deactivate on this site.
    • NewEach site can add as many AI connections as its plan includes.
    • ChangedRenewals and upgrades reach your site within a day, or at once with Check now.
  16. 1.2.1

Let your AI app connect itself

    • NewPaste one message into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Devin Desktop, Gemini CLI or Kimi Code, and the app adds the connection by itself.
    • NewOne-click “Add to Cursor”, “Add to VS Code” and “Add to LM Studio” buttons.
    • ChangedThe Claude Code setup finds Claude Code by itself, also on Windows and when only the Claude app is installed.
    • ChangedGemini CLI connects with one command. Windsurf is now Devin Desktop, with its new name and paths.
  17. 1.2.0

    A new look

    • NewThe PowerWP design on every screen, each with a header that shows its key numbers.
    • NewConnecting an app takes four steps: pick the app, choose what it may do, follow its setup with your address and key filled in, and watch it connect.
    • NewSetup steps for Codex (also in the ChatGPT desktop app) and Kimi Code. Claude Code is the recommended app.
    • ChangedChanges and backups are listed day by day, and work sessions show which app made them.
  18. 1.1.0

    PowerWP AI

    • NewThe plugin’s new name: PowerWP AI, with setup steps for each AI app.
    • NewRestore a backup from your computer on the Backups screen.
    • NewSigned plugin updates through Dashboard › Updates.
    • RemovedThe tools that ran PHP, WP-CLI and shell commands, for safety.
    • SecurityStricter safeguards in the database tools.
  19. 1.0.0

    First release

    • NewAI apps can work on WordPress and WooCommerce through MCP, with permissions per connection, a change record with rollback, and backups.
