Plans and limits
PowerWP AI plans differ in how many AI connections one site can have. Free is read-only with no end date. Paid plans are per site, billed monthly or yearly.
A plan covers one site and sets how many AI connections that site can have. The paid plans differ only in that number: each includes every tool and every safety layer. Free is read-only. Prices are per site, paid every month or once a year.
The plans#
| Plan | Price | AI connections | What the connections can do |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0, no end date | 1 | Read only: diagnostics, logs, content, orders and settings |
| Solo | $9 a month or $86.40 a year per site | 1 | Everything their permissions allow |
| Team | $23 a month or $220.80 a year per site | 3 | Everything their permissions allow |
| Crew | $59 a month or $566.40 a year per site | 10 | Everything their permissions allow |
Current prices and what each plan includes are on the Pricing page.
Free is read-only on purpose: you see what your AI app finds on your real site, with no payment and no end date, before it can change anything. A new connection can only be Read-only diagnostics, and there is one Free plan per customer. When you want changes, upgrade in My account › Licenses; the key stays the same.
Paid plans are billed every month, or once a year for 20% less than 12 monthly payments, until you cancel, and include updates and support while they are active. You choose how many AI connections you need. Cancel any time in My account › Subscriptions: the plan stays active until the end of the month or year you've paid for.
Which plan?#
| Plan | A good fit |
|---|---|
| Free | Look at one site, read-only, before you decide. |
| Solo | One person with one AI app, for example you with Claude Code. |
| Team | Three AI connections, for example you, an editor and a developer, or two apps of your own. |
| Crew | Ten AI connections on one site, for a larger team working on that site. |
Two apps (for example Claude Code and Cursor) are two connections. Each site needs its own plan. For many sites, write to us.
What counts as a connection#
A connection is the access you give one AI app, with its own key or sign-in, permissions, expiry and log. Two apps are two connections. Only active connections count: revoke one or let it expire, and its place is free again. Connections you sign in to count like connections with a key. Management keys do not count.
At the limit, PowerWP AI tells you to revoke a connection you no longer need or to upgrade. Existing connections are never revoked because of your plan. If a site has more connections than its plan includes, the oldest ones can make changes and the newer ones can only read: the Connections screen marks them “Can only read”. See Connections and keys.
When a plan ends#
When a paid plan ends, because you cancel or a payment fails and isn't retried successfully, the site goes back to the Free plan 3 days after the plan’s end date, so a renewal paid a little late changes nothing. Your AI app can still read the site, but it can't change anything until you subscribe again. The license key stays the same and nothing needs reinstalling.
Local development sites#
Since plugin 1.6.3 a site on a local development address needs a license key like any other site. That covers localhost, 127.0.0.1, and addresses ending in .localhost, .test, .local, .example or .invalid. A paid plan covers one local copy without using up its site, and a second local copy counts as a site. The plan’s connection limit applies; with no key or a Free key, a local site is read-only. It is a good place to try big jobs before you repeat them on the live site.
Upgrade or move a site#
Upgrade in My account › Licenses: the key stays the same. To move a license, activate a key or check seats, see Licenses and sites. For payments, cancelling and refunds, see Billing, upgrades and refunds.
